[ANAN WEB] Mischievous Block B's Event Report #18

The mischievous group of the K-POP world who already appeared in the 15th edition of this series, Block B have released their 5th Japan Single "YESTERDAY". To commemorate this, they held a special event in Shinagawa Stella Ball on March 28th and we're have the report!

This event was also exclusively broadcasted live by AbemaTV and moderated by a popular MC in the K-Pop circle, Furuya Masayuki. When he called for the members to appear on stage, the venue was wrapped in loud cheers!

The guest is 'Block B fan', Utahiroba-san!

During the event a self-proclaimed 'Block B fan' appeared on stage as a special guest, Golden Bomber Utahiroba Jun. MC Furuya asked the members "this time, a person who knows Block B well has rushed into the celebration. Do you know who it is~?", though he asked, there was no need to guess the right answer cause Zico immediately said, "Utahiroba-san". Utahiroba-san appeared on stage accompanied by loud applauses... "Zico spoiled my entrance. It was totally unexpected. But he's a genius so it can't be helped~!" and aroused laughter. He immediately appealed to the audience saying he was a 'strong fire Block B fan'.

There Were Skits! Games! and a Funny Talk Corner

The first talk corner began after Utahiroba's entrance, "Show me Block B! Let's analyze your new song 'YESTERDAY' thoroughly!" so the members themselves explained the charms of their new song. Park Kyung who worked as producer commented, "the highlight of the song is showcasing the members' individual colors". U-Kwon was asked to explain the dance but he suspiciously said, "Taeil will dance it now" so Taeil danced cutely to the rhythm of the song.

The next corner is "Knowing Block B! Utahiroba recommended entertainers!". Utahiroba-san decided to introduce 3 groups of entertainers to Block B who loves to have fun, play jokes and just entertaining in itself. The first one to appear on stage was 'Shizuru' who made the audience laugh with the short comedy skit 'what the...?' in its Korean version, P.O made a low score of 20 points. Next guest was comedy duo '2700'. Similar to the first guest, they performed the comedy skit 'right elbow left elbow, look at them in turns' in a Korean version. On behalf of the members, Jaehyo took over the skit and the venue laughed loudly in response! Taeil managed to pass with a so-so score of 85 points. As soon as the third guest Orakio appeared on stage, the members said "with his visuals alone he gets 100 points~ (lol)!" and burst out laughing. For his imitation of a Chinese gymnast he achieved disappointing results... Zico commented, "thought his appearance is funny, the performance itself gets 70 points!".

The last corner was 'Team versus! YESTERDAY Battle". A competition game based on the title 'YESTERDAY' between Team Block B and Utahiroba Team. If there is the same answer within a group, they get only 1 point but if the answers are different they get 2 points. The first question was "yesterday, what did you do right before going to bed?". The results were; Jaehyo "took off my pants and slept in a futon", U-Kwon "net shopping", Zico "ate chicken", Taeil "took a hot bath", B-Bomb "sent a message", Park Kyung "drank beer", P.O "packing" so they all answered differently.

However! Since in Korea people usually eat chicken while drinking beer, when asked it turned out that Zico and Park Kyung ate chicken while drinking beer!! so they were forcefully given just 1 point! It was a complete victory against the Utahiroba Team who got 0 points!

To wrap up the last corner they all improvised a collaboration of Block B's new song 'YESTERDAY"! When the music started both Block B Team and Utahiroba Team each showed off their dancing as they pleased and quickly they created a festival on stage! The venue became excited quickly as well.

The long-awaited live performance begins!

Their live consisted of Japanese versions of all the songs. Starting with their new song 'YESTERDAY'. Besides their talk segments, they performed 5 songs in total. Fans accompanied the songs with their light-sticks perfectly and sang the chorus along so the venue became one!.

Finally, one by one they gave a polite greeting.

Zico: I had a lot of fun so if there's time I would like to do it once again.

Jaehyo: It was different from our previous performances but it was really fun!

U-Kwon: Today's event felt like a fan meeting, it was really really fun! Thank you very much!

P.O: the Japanese entertainers helped us a lot! I want to convey my gratitude to them. I was delighted to meet you all after a long time too!

Park Kyung: Because it's our first time performing a song I made, I was able to make a lot of special memories.

B-Bomb: Time really went by in a flash. I'm glad we were able to show the Japanese version on stage to all of you!　

Taeil: It's a pity that we performed only a few songs, to those who have met us today for the first time, please come to play with us on concert and fan meetings by all means.

Despite lamenting to say goodbye, they promised to return to Japan for their Summer tour and like that, the curtains closed.
